Get The Most - Core Values Demo

Get The Most was a Youth Crew band from the Northwest. Started from Go It Alone and Blue Monday members, Get The Most quickly got in top with the release of this, Core Vales Demo.

My favorite thing about this demo, is that  even though it is more typical Youth Crew hardcore, it ever gets played out? If that makes any sense. I mean, I'm here, 8 years later, and I can listen to it as if I just got it. Even though every release was just as solid as the next, something always bring me back to this demo. Could be maybe because I found it when I became more active in the Hardcore scene? Maybe its because it's a release that help me find friends who weren't all into Beatdown or Metalcore stuff. Or maybe it's because it's the Insted cover? Honestly, it doesn't matter, a solid release is a solid release and Get The Most have one of the most solid releases in the past 10 years of hardcore.

Collateral Damage Self Titled EP

I FINALLY GET TO POST THIS! After trying get my old computer working, and failing at it, I came across a few DVD's...I guess the younger me was smarter than I thought, because I backed up a few music files into DVD's. So do expect a few more gems I found.

Collateral Damage was never the biggest Hardcore band or most known, but with releases on Indecision Records and New Age Records, I would think they were a little more known. But none of that really matters, because in the end C.D. wrote and records some  amazing records.

I came across this record by accident, not knowing who they were or what they sounded like but when i seen they were on Indecision, I thought it couldn't be that bad...and damn was I right.

At first listen, I thought it was another Dan O'Mahony project, seeing at they had similar vocal stylings, but that wasn't the case. But that was one of the reasons that drew me into the band. Four songs, clocking in just under 12 minutes, made for perfect record listening.

I really don't know what to say about this record really, I kind of hope you just fallin love with it like i have. This isn't the only release, they did have another EP after this, but seeing as I still can't find that, you're going to have to stick with this for a while. But I really do hope you enjoy this and if you like this, order the "Let Me Be Broken" EP on New Age Records...haha I know, but I heard ordering got a little better.

Final Fight Demo 2003

Final Fight was probably one of the best bands to come out off the mid 2000's. Their music added with in great stage presents made them one of the most solid acts in Hardcore.

As I look back on those days they were active, I see myself as one of the lucky ones who got to see them live. When you seen Dave hit the stage barefoot, you know you were about to get a show.

Everyone once and awhile Final Fight comes up on my iPod, and my realization of them not being a band hits me again and I miss them dearly. So that leaves me with this post, the original Demo CD-R.

I've seen other people most the "Demo", but really they are just posting the Self Titled 7" and like a song or two of this demo.

When I first heard this, I was taking away. The music didn't sound like a shitty demo, and the vocals always caught me and pulled me in. Not only my favorite FF release, but one of my fav demos of all time.

The best part of this demo, is it showcases exactly what the band was about to offer. Give it a listen, share it around, maybe Hype can be put back on the band and they'll do a reunion. If Judge can do it, so can Final Fight.
