Crime In Stereo - 2004 Demos

For some of us, Crime In Stereo will always be that Hardcore band that put out one hell of split with Kill Your Idols, but as it has come, they are more widely known as that Alternative Punk band from Bridge Nine Records. I'm not complaining in the least bit, I actually enjoy all of CIS, but as much as I love Is Dead, I will always love early CIS.

And since they have come back into existence, even stating that they will release new music as well, I figured why not give a little taste of where the band came from. I could of posted the OG Three Song Demo, but I see that posted everywhere, so I figured why not give yous guys something a little less known.

I came across this demo a very long time ago, so long, I don't really remember what I got it, but here you go. Nothing really new here, these were the demos for the Explosives LP, and all made it except for Of Return, which ended up on Love 7" released in 2007.

Not much change from these songs to the LP versions. but you can defiantly hear the pre production sound in these. I just wanted to post this as an appreciation to a band that over the years, have continued to write and preform amazing music. I can not wait for more shows and new music.

Brother's Keeper - Unreleased Demos

So it's been a while, but i finally got everything situated but enough talk, time for more music.

Anyone that knows me knows that I love Brother's Keeper (I'm pretty sure Continuum was my first vinyl record i bought) and even when other's might hate on the band, to me they will always be one of my favorite.

If you get a change to listen to their entire discography, I suggest doing so to really get the full feel of how amazing this band was. If you listen to Fantasy Killer than listen to something like the 2 Dollar Bill tape or Shadowcast EP you will hear such a difference yet such similarity in those recordings. Not many bands can incase me in their discog. like Brother's Keeper.

So years ago, I believe EMS of BK ran a blog that uploaded the whole BK Discography, and of course I downloaded it but the best part of it was hearing these demos that i never knew existed. One of those, and my absolute favorite, was the very last songs that BK ever did. When I heard them, it automatically upset me because i knew that Brother's Keeper wouldn't write and release their best album ever.

The first songs was more rough demos than the next four, but still good. But really, those last 4 songs were jaw dropping. So much so, that here we are years later and i'm still dying to tell people how fucking amazing these tracks are. I've been a fan for years, and I honestly that nothing could top BK late 90's, but damn, that changed with these songs.

It was always funny to because since me getting these tracks, I've always told people that they are my favorite from BK but of course, no one knew of them. So here we are, me sharing what I believe is some of the best music written in the 00's. I hope all y'all hear what I hear with these songs!
